Police Update: Armed Robbery At Beenleigh

Police have charged a man as part of ongoing investigations into the armed robbery of a Beenleigh service station in the early hours of yesterday morning, 14 October.

It will be alleged that around 1am, three people attended the Logan River Road service station in a stolen black 2025 Chery Tiggo.

Two of the males exited the vehicle and entered the store, allegedly armed with a firearm and sword.

It will be alleged that the pair then threatened the 18-year-old male employee, who fled through the rear of the business, and stole the till containing money and personal items belonging to the employee, before the trio fled in the Tiggo.

Following investigations, officers located a 24-year-old Loganlea man in the carpark of a business on Commerce Drive at Browns Plains yesterday afternoon, where he was arrested.

The Loganlea man has since been charged with six offences, including: one count each of armed robbery, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing utensils, unauthorised dealing with shop goods and authority required to possess explosives.

He is scheduled to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court today, 15 October.
