Police update: Charges - Deprivation of liberty - Pinelands

Northern Territory Police have charged two men in relation to a violent incident in Pinelands earlier this month.

A 22-year-old was arrested by Katherine police on 25 December, and has been charged with:

  • Assault - threaten with weapon
  • Deprivation of liberty
  • Enter building with intent
  • Stealing

He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.

A 24-year-old was arrested yesterday by Katherine police and was charged with:

  • Assault - threaten with weapon
  • Deprivation of liberty
  • Enter building with intent
  • Stealing

He was remanded to appear in Katherine Local Court today.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Brett Cottier said, "Serious Crime detectives worked closely with our Katherine members to locate and arrest these individuals."
