Police update: Charges - Stolen motor vehicles - Greater Darwin Region

Northern Territory Police have arrested two males in relation to stolen vehicles and property offending in the Greater Darwin Region this month.

Circumstances are that between the 22 and 27 of November, a number of unknown offenders, including two males aged 13 and 30, were involved in various stages of property offending on residences and businesses in Coconut Grove, Winnellie, Humpty Doo, Nightcliff and Jingili.

Detectives from Strike Force Trident arrested the pair yesterday in Moil.

The 13-year-old was charged with:

  • 4 x Aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
  • 2 x Unlawful entry
  • 1 x Attempted unlawful entry
  • 4 x Damage property
  • 2 x Stealing
  • 1 x Trespass
  • 1 x Drive unlicensed

He was remanded to appear in court today.

The 30-year-old was charged with:

  • 1 x Unlawful entry
  • 1 x Aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle
  • 1 x Stealing
  • 1 x Recruit a child
  • 2 x Damage property
  • 2 x Trespass

He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said "Investigations remain ongoing as detectives work to identify the remaining offenders.
