Police Update: Fatal Traffic Crash, Alligator Creek

Police have charged a 35-year-old Hay Point man following extensive investigations into a fatal traffic crash earlier this year on January 7.

Just before 5pm, it will be alleged a black Holden Utility was observed travelling dangerously on Hay Point Road before it travelled into oncoming traffic and crashed into a silver Kia sedan.

The driver of the Kia, a 58-year-old Ooralea man, died at the scene.

The 35-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter and is due before Mackay Magistrates Court on May 14.
