Police are appealing for public assistance following a serious crash at South Hurstville at the weekend.
Emergency services were called to King Georges Road about 6.15am on Sunday 14 April 2019, after a northbound modified 1975 Mazda RX2, travelled over the median strip and collided with a Subaru Forrester towing a boat and a Toyota Yaris in the southbound lanes.
The Mazda caught alight after impact.
Members of the public pulled the driver, a 45-year-old man, from the vehicle before he was taken to St George Hospital.
He has since been transferred to Royal North Shore Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
As inquiries continue, officers from St George Police Area Command would like to speak to any rescuers who have not yet spoken to police, in particular, the man depicted in the image.
He is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, of a medium build, with dark hair and a beard. He is shown wearing a white polo shirt and khaki pants.
Investigators would also like to speak to any other witnesses, anyone with dashcam footage, or anyone with information about the crash.
