Update: Six men taken into custody by police regarding an earlier street disturbance at Woolloongabba where a man was shot, have been charged.
Police will allege all six committed one count each of affray and going armed so as to cause fear.
The arrested men are a 24-year-old man from Goodna, a 21-year-old man from Collingwood Park, a 20-year-old man from Redbank, a 20-year-old man from Bellbird Park, a 19-year-old man from Collingwood Park and an 18-year-old man from Bellbird Park.
Investigations into the shooting of a 21-year-old Goodna man are continuing.
Earlier: Police attended Carl Street, Woolloongabba around 11am this morning (January 1) following reports of shots fired.
Preliminary information indicates an altercation occurred on the street before a 21-year-old Goodna man sustained a gunshot wound to his upper left arm.
He was taken to the PA Hospital in a stable condition.
No one else was physically injured.
