Police update: Sudden death investigation at Torquay

Maryborough detectives have arrested and charged a 33-year-old Torquay man with murder, amongst other serious offences, as they continue to investigate the death of a 75-year-old man overnight (October 20).

The 33-year-old will be held in police custody and appear in the Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on Monday (October 23) charged with one count each of murder, serious assault, demand property with menace, and two counts of possessing dangerous drugs (steroids).

Detectives are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have relevant CCTV or dash-cam footage to contact them.
