Police update: Wounding, Doolandella

Detectives from Acacia Ridge Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a 40-year-old man in relation to an alleged wounding incident in Doolandella on Sunday.

At approximately 9.30pm on October 15, emergency services were called to a property along Muhammad Street following reports of a serious assault.

Upon arrival, police located a 29-year-old Yeronga man with non-life-threatening wounds to his shoulder and back.

He was transported to hospital in a stable condition.

A 32-year-old Inala woman was located uninjured at the scene.

It is alleged four other people left the scene prior to the arrival of emergency services.

A 40-year-old man from Doolandella has been charged with attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, possessing a dangerous drug and authority required to possess explosives(namely ammunition).

He is due to appear in Richlands Magistrates Court today.

Investigations are continuing.
