Police vehicle crash at Loxton

Police are investigating a crash last night at Loxton.

Just after 11pm on Saturday 7 January emergency services responded to reports of a crash between a South Australia Police Hilux and a Hyundai sedan on Bookpurnong Road Loxton.

The police driver, a 55-year-old man was taken to the Berri hospital for minor injuries, his passenger a 42-year-old man, was taken to the Loxton hospital for minor injuries. Both officers have since been released.

The male driver of the sedan a 27-year-old French national and his female passenger a 21-year-old French national received serious non-life threatening injuries and were taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where they remain in a stable condition.

Bookpurnong Road was closed for several hours but reopened just after 4am, Sunday 8 January.

The circumstances of the crash are being investigated.
