Starting kinder is an exciting milestone for your children and their families, and we are here to help make the journey as smooth as possible.
Our 17 community kindergartens provide welcoming, play-based learning environments where young children build confidence, curiosity and early social skills before starting school.
Families planning for 3- and 4-year-old kinder in 2027 can start exploring local programs and learn more about the registration process.
Many community kindergartens will open their doors during our Early Years Open Weekend on 2 and 3 May, offering the chance to tour facilities and meet educators.
A free Kindergarten Readiness online session will be held on Tuesday 12 May to help parents decide the best time for their child to start. This is a not-to-be-missed session, especially for families of children born between January and April, as you can choose which year to start three-year-old Kindergarten.
Registrations for 2027 open Friday 1 May. To be considered in first round offers, registrations need to be submitted by Tuesday 30 June 2026. Families select their preferred session times as part of this process.
