Football fans can tune into Football Australia’s social media channels at 7:30pm AEDT on Thursday night to catch an exclusive National Teams Live Show featuring some key figures from our national teams!
Hosted by Fox Football’s Tara Rushton, the broadcast will be a valuable opportunity to look back on the year that was.
To kick things off, iconic Australian football commentator Simon Hill will take you through some of the major events that unfolded over the past 12 months.
You will then hear from Socceroos Head Coach Graham Arnold and Joeys Head Coach Trevor Morgan as they reflect on a challenging year and look forward to bigger and better things in 2021.
The show will also feature Socceroos defender Rhyan Grant discussing his A-League Grand Final heroics and recent Asian Champions League campaign. He will also preview Sydney FC’s title defence that will kick off on December 27.
Brisbane Roar and Westfield Matildas forward Emily Gielnik will also make an appearance to run through her European adventure and the collection of memorable moments that she experienced first-hand with the national team in 2020.
These include re-living the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup bid announcement, the Westfield Matildas’ successful Olympic qualification campaign on home soil, and the appointment of Tony Gustavsson as the new Head Coach.
As we prepare to farewell a year that has sprung up more than its fair share of surprises, Football Australia would like to thank every member of the football family for their support throughout the year – we hope you enjoy the show!
