The Art Gallery of Swan Hill extends its sincere thanks to the many artists from across Australia who submitted entries to the 2026 Swan Hill Print & Drawing Acquisitive Awards.
The biennial awards have once again attracted an outstanding calibre of contemporary printmaking and drawing, highlighting the depth and diversity of artistic talent from across the country.
Art Gallery Director, Ian Tully said the strong response reflects the enduring reputation of the awards as one of Australia's leading works-on-paper prizes.
"We would like to thank every artist who took the time to enter this year's awards.
"The quality and breadth of entries has been exceptional, and we are incredibly grateful for the support shown by artists from across Australia. These awards continue to celebrate excellence in contemporary printmaking and drawing while strengthening the Gallery's nationally significant collection," Mr Tully said.
This year's exhibition holds special significance as it will be the first Print & Drawing Awards exhibition presented in the Gallery's newly redeveloped facility, providing visitors with the opportunity to experience the finalist works in a contemporary, purpose-built exhibition space.
The winners of the acquisitive awards will be announced at the official opening on Saturday, 1 August, with the exhibition then open to the public until 4 October 2026.
The exhibition will showcase an exceptional selection of finalist works, offering visitors the opportunity to experience some of Australia's finest contemporary printmaking and drawing.
