Older people living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) now have priority access to ongoing Support at Home and immediate priority under the Assistive Technology and Home Modifications (AT-HM) scheme funding if their MND diagnosis is recorded during their aged care assessment.
Priority access to approved funding is available to people with MND who:
- have already been approved for ongoing Support at Home or AT-HM scheme funding; or
- are approved for ongoing Support at Home funding or the AT-HM scheme in future.
If you're not sure whether your MND diagnosis was recorded during your aged care assessment, contact your assessment organisation to check.
If you were diagnosed with MND after your aged care assessment and are waiting for funding, contact My Aged Care to arrange a reassessment.
