Property offences at Ipswich

Detectives have charged a 23-year-old man with multiple offences following investigations into a number of break and enters in the Ipswich area.

It will be alleged on October 17 between midnight and 6am, the man broke into a business along Leon Capra Drive in Augustine Heights where he stole a quantity of cash and alcohol.

On November 1, the same man alleged broke into a business along Jones Road in Bellbird Park where he stole a quantity of cash.

It will be further alleged the man broke into a second Leon Capra Drive business on October 27 and an Eagle Street business in Redbank Plains on October 18, but left empty handed on both occasions.

Following extensive investigations by the Ipswich Criminal Investigation Branch, detectives located and arrested the 23-year-old Redbank Plains man at a Redbank Plains address on November 8.

He has been charged with two counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence, two counts of enter premises with intent, and one count each of possessing dangerous drugs, possess utensils or pipes, possess property suspected of having been used and contravene direction or requirement of a police officer.

He is expected to appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court today, November 8.
