Protective Services Officer charged 26 May

A protective services officer (PSO) from Transit and Public Safety Command has been charged following an internal investigation.

The male PSO has been charged with perverting the course of justice, misconduct in public office and unauthorised access to police information.

The charges relate to alleged offences that occurred between January and May this year while he was on and off duty.

The 35-year-old has been summonsed to appear before a magistrates court at a later date.
