Provide Input On Master Plan For Greenhill

Development of the Greenhill Recreation Precinct is a step closer with Mitchell Shire Council starting community consultation on the master plan.

Council is seeking community input on plans for the site that include aquatics, indoor recreation, multi-use courts, sports ovals, open spaces and walking tracks to address the increased demand for recreational facilities in Wallan.

Located along the Northern Highway, the proposed precinct combines the existing Greenhill Reserve at 330 Northern Highway and an adjacent site at 300 Northern Highway, directly to the south.

What's included in the draft master plan

  • An integrated aquatic and indoor recreation facility for year-round use,
  • Indoor and outdoor multi-use courts, accommodating a variety of sports and activities,
  • Spaces dedicated to passive recreation, open space activities, and cultural experiences, ensuring there's something for everyone.

These proposed facilities will not only enhance the area's recreational offerings but are also planned to integrate seamlessly with Wallan's unique natural environment, including the iconic Green Hill volcanic cone.

Council has developed two conceptual options for the master plan, and is seeking feedback from the community to help shape the final plan.
