Public appeal: Sexual assault at Surfers Paradise, QLD

Police have released vision of a man they wish to speak with in relation to the sexual assault of a woman at Surfers Paradise in December.

Shortly after midnight on Wednesday December 12, a 22-year-old woman was walking on The Esplanade, near Eileen Peters Park, when she was approached by a man who grabbed her inappropriately.

The woman continued south on The Esplanade and the man was last seen entering a public toilet near the park.

The woman did not sustain any physical injures as a result of the incident.

Police are seeking public assistance to identify a man who is described as Caucasian in appearance with a solid build and a short beard.

He was last seen wearing navy blue pants, a navy blue sift, a black baseball cap and sandy coloured work boots.

Anyone who has any information is being urged to contact police.
