Please check the NSW Health website regularly, as the list of venues of concern and relevant health advice will be updated as investigations continue.

NSW Health was notified this morning that fragments of the virus that causes COVID-19 have been detected in the Ireland Park Sewage Network and the West Camden Sewage Treatment Plant.

The Ireland Park catchment includes about 78,000 people and takes sewage from the following suburbs: Denham Court, Carnes Hill, Len Waters Estate, Middleton Grange, Horningsea Park, West Hoxton, Leppington, Varroville, Gledswood Hills, Catherine Field, Glenfield, Macquarie Links, Lurnea, Cartwright, Miller, Casula, Green Valley, Edensor Park, Bonnyrigg Heights, Elizabeth Hills, Cecil Hills, Cecil Park, Austral, Edmondson Park, Prestons, Ingleburn, Abbotsbury, Hoxton Park, Hinchinbrook, and Bardia.

The West Camden catchment includes about 71,000 people and takes sewage from the following suburbs: Spring Farm, Camden South, Narellan, Kirkham, Elderslie, Camden, Grasmere, Ellis Lane, Gregory Hills, Smeaton Grange, Currans Hill, Cobbitty, Varroville, Gledswood Hills, Catherine Field, Oran Park, Harrington Park, Mount Annan, Narellan Vale, Belimbla Park, Cawdor, The Oaks, Oakdale, Camden Park, and Wilton.

NSW Health is urging everyone in and around these areas to be vigilant for the onset of any cold-like symptoms, and to get tested immediately and self-isolate if they appear. NSW Health is aware of recently confirmed COVID-19 cases who are in isolation in the catchment.

As announced this morning, following updated health advice to prevent further transmission of COVID-19, stay-at-home orders are being introduced for at least one week for those people who live in, or whose usual place of work is in, Woollahra, Waverley, Randwick and City of Sydney Local Government Areas.

Due to the risk associated with an increasing number of exposure venues where transmission has occurred, from 11.59pm tonight until at least 11.59pm on Friday 2 July, residents of, or people whose usual place of work is in, the four LGAs must stay at home unless it is for an essential reason.

Anyone with even the mildest of cold-like symptoms is urged to immediately come forward for testing and isolate until a negative result is received.

There are more than 300 COVID-19 testing locations across NSW, many of which are open seven days a week. To find your nearest clinic visit COVID-19 testing clinics or contact your GP.
