Public Invited to Info Kiosks for Draft Heritage Study Exhibit

Wingecarribee Shire

Drop-in Information Kiosks will be popping-up across our Shire during October and early November as part of Public Exhibition of the draft Community Heritage Study. This is a significant project led by our community that seeks to identify and assess places of potential heritage significance throughout Wingecarribee Shire. We encourage all community members to make a submission and have made it even easier to

contribute to decision-making in relation to this study by providing these kiosk points.

Public Exhibition of the Draft Community Heritage Study commenced on October 3, 2023.

You can view and download the complete set of draft study documents at your convenience, by visiting the Your Say Wingecarribee page.

At our Drop-in Information Kiosks, you can ask members of our project team directly about any questions you have, and share your views.

The Draft Study was considered at the Wingecarribee Local Planning Panel meeting of 29 June 2023 and by Council on 19 July 2023 and was endorsed for the purpose of undertaking owner and community consultation.

The purpose of this phase of community consultation is to present the findings and recommendations of the Draft Study to community members, including affected property owners, who were notified individually in advance of the public exhibition period. This is an opportunity to ask questions directly of a Council officer and put forward any relevant information for consideration. The Draft Study is the fist step of many for community consultation in considering the potential heritage listing of sites and conservation areas within the Shire. It will be Peer Reviewed by an independent heritage consultant prior to its finalisation and adoption by Council.

Submissions must be received no later than 12:00pm (midday) on Monday 6 November and can be made using the Submission Form which allows documents to be attached.
