The Crisafulli Government is delivering a fresh start for the South Burnett region by bringing Community Cabinet to Kingaroy to ensure regional Queenslanders are being listened to.
Premier David Crisafulli, Ministers, and senior government officials will travel to the South Burnett region on 7 June to meet with residents, business owners and community organisations to listen, share ideas and focus on the priorities that matter most to the community.
Hosting Community Cabinet in South Burnett provides an opportunity for the Crisafulli Government to hear directly from the community about local priorities as it continues to deliver a fresh start for Queensland.
It's also an opportunity for the community to hear about progress on delivering safety where you live, restoring health services when you need them and delivering a plan for Queensland's future, as a well as a better lifestyle through a stronger economy.
The South Burnett region is already benefiting from recent investments from the Crisafulli Government, including permanent funding for the Youth Crime Taskforce and Early intervention youth programs, including the Kickstarter program delivered through the South Burnett CTC to restore safety where you live.
The Crisafulli Government is also delivering new education facilities at Cherbourg State School, funding to deliver improved services and patient care at Murgon Hospital, as well as planning and development funding for the Barlil Weir near Murgon, securing long-term water security for local agriculture and industry.
The Kingaroy-Memerambi RSL Sub Branch is also one of the inaugural recipients of the Crisafulli Government's Honouring our Veterans program.
Premier David Crisafulli said the Government was delivering a plan for the South Burnett region's future.
"It's important we visit communities like Kingaroy to listen, learn and work together so we can deliver what matters to them," Premier Crisafulli said.
"We're backing regional Queensland and delivering safety where you live, health services when you need them, a stronger economy and a plan for the future.
"Community Cabinet gives residents the chance to speak directly with our team and share what matters to them."
Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington said she was proud to fight every day for the South Burnett and ensure local voices are heard at the highest levels of government.
"Community Cabinet is a fantastic opportunity to showcase everything that makes the South Burnett such a strong and vibrant region, while also giving residents the chance to speak directly with the Premier and Ministers about the issues that matter most to them," Mrs Frecklington said.
"I'll continue working hard to deliver for our communities and make sure the priorities of South Burnett families, businesses and community groups are front and centre."
