  • The Hub is a key deliverable of Destination 2045 and provides personalised concierge service to reduce delays and make government support for the tourism industry more accessible.

The Crisafulli Government's Tourism Support Hub has hit a major milestone with more than 100 enquiries received since its launch in December 2025.

The Hub was delivered just six months after being identified as a priority in Destination 2045 and, within its first few months of operation, has already become a trusted point of contact supporting the State's tourism businesses.

The more than 100 enquiries have come from all 13 of Queensland's Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) areas, and included questions around business development, agritourism, cultural tourism, national park permits and disaster recovery.

The Hub streamlines processes for grants, business development, and permit guidance, cutting complexity and providing operators with the clarity they need.

Each enquiry is paired with a dedicated tourism support officer who offers step-by-step guidance and tailored solutions for more complex issues.

It's just one of the ways the Crisafulli Government is delivering a plan for Queensland's future and making the State the events capital of the nation after a decade of decline under Labor.

The opening of brand-new facilities to support tourism operators stands in stark contrast to the former Labor Government's secret plan to cut tourism funding

In 2025, a record 2.4 million international visitors contributed $7.5 billion to Queensland's economy, with total visitor expenditure reaching an incredible $44.3 billion -that's $121.5 million every single day.

Tourism Minister Andrew Powell said this milestone was proof the Hub was delivering real value to Queensland's tourism operators.

"We are doing what we said we would do by making it easier for tourism businesses to succeed and ensuring Queensland remains the 'Home of the Holiday' for years to come," Minister Powell said.

"Many of the enquiries are the first time operators have engaged with government, highlighting that the Hub is delivering essential support and fostering new connections and collaboration across the sector.

"While Labor had a secret plan to gut tourism funding which would have stripped the confidence our operators need, we are investing in new services that drive connection, collaboration and deliver the support out tourism industry needs."

Queensland Tourism Industry Council CEO Natassia Wheeler said the Tourism Support Hub was helping to build a stronger, more resilient tourism industry.

"Access to clear, practical support is critical for tourism operators, particularly in the current operating environment," Ms Wheeler said.

"The Tourism Support Hub is playing an important role in helping businesses navigate processes and connect with the right information when they need it."

Managing Director of G'Day Adventure Tours on Bribie Island Jason Brown was one tourism operator who sought assistance through the Tourism Support Hub in applying for the relevant approvals to cater for larger tour groups.

"As a small business owner, navigating the application process for permits can be daunting, but the Tourism Support Hub made it so much easier for us," Mr Brown said.

"Their team provided step-by-step guidance and tailored solutions that were specific to our needs, which allowed us to apply for permits to cater for larger tour groups.

"They took the time to understand our business and the challenges we were facing, and their personalised support was invaluable."

Tourism operators can access the Hub by phone, email, or online form and receive a personalised response within one business day.
