Cranbourne Hub Advances with New Service Partners

The future of the Cranbourne Hub has taken an important step forward, with Council excited to announce the service partners confirmed to call the future landmark community facility home.

Wellsprings for Women and WAYSS Ltd are the latest service partners to be confirmed at the Hub, joining Peninsula Community Legal Centre (PCLC), Connected Libraries and Council's Cranbourne Youth Information Centre and Customer Service Centre.

The confirmation of all service partners marks a significant milestone for the project, which will bring a range of community, learning, wellbeing and support services together in the heart of Cranbourne.

To be located at 1-3 Lyall Street, the Cranbourne Hub will create a modern, welcoming destination where residents can access multiple services in one convenient location.

Detailed design work has now been completed, with the project progressing through procurement over the coming months. Construction is anticipated to begin in early 2027 and the Hub expected to open to the community in 2029.

The Hub has been shaped through extensive community engagement and co-design, with a focus on creating a welcoming, accessible and safe space that responds to the needs of the community now and into the future.

City of Casey Deputy Mayor Michelle Crowther said with all service partners now confirmed, the community can see the vision for the Cranbourne Hub taking shape.

"The Hub will provide a new home for Council's Customer Service Centre and Youth Information Centre while bringing together a range of community services in a central location. It's an important investment in both the future of Cranbourne and in making services more accessible for our growing community," Cr Crowther said.

Wellsprings for Women CEO Dalal Smiley said it has been a dream for their organisation to secure a place in Casey to operate from on ongoing basis.

"The demand for our services in Casey has grown exponentially in the last five years and the opportunity to operate in close proximity to Council services, WAYSS and Peninsula Community Legal Centre will certainly improve service outcomes for our mutual clients," she said.

WAYYS General Manager Shari McPhail said they're proud to be part of the new Cranbourne Hub, a purpose built space that will strengthen the way community services work together to support people across Casey.

"Our tenancy at the Hub will enhance the homelessness, housing and family violence services we deliver locally, while creating new opportunities for collaboration with other organisations committed to safety, wellbeing and inclusion," she said.

PCLC's CEO Jackie Galloway said they were delighted to work alongside Council services and other community organisations committed to supporting the Casey community.

"Co-locating services in one accessible location will make it easier for people to connect with the help they need, when they need it most. We are excited about the opportunities this partnership creates to provide more integrated support and improve access to justice for local residents."

Connected Libraries CEO Beth Luppino said the new spaces will provide the best environment for our community to connect, learn and thrive.

"Having library services located in the Hub with our partners makes perfect sense; it will allow our visitors to access everything they need in one central place," she said.

"We particularly look forward to supporting our growing population of young people with library lending collections, a gaming zone, study areas and free programs planned together with Casey's Youth Services team - this is a real win for the young people in Cranbourne."

As part of the latest project update, Council has released a new suite of concept renders, offering residents a glimpse of what the future Hub will look like once complete. A dedicated project webpage has also been launched, providing a central place for the community to stay informed as the project progresses.
