Racist Posters in Carine / Sorrento - Charges

Detectives from the State Security Investigation Unit has charged a 23-year-old man, after their investigation into a series of incidents between Friday 14 May and Monday 17 May 2021.

It will be alleged the man was placing a number of posters in the areas of Carine, Sorrento, Marmion and Watermans Bay. It will be alleged these posters depicted racist and anti-Semitic imagery.

Detectives conducted extensive investigations, resulting in a search warrant being executed at a home in Balcatta, during which a number of items were seized, and the man was arrested.

The 23-year-old man from Balcatta has been charged with:-

• Two counts of Conduct intended to racially harass and,

• One count of Trespass.

The man is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on Friday 22 October 2021.
