Regional Tasmanians Get Cold Shoulder From Winter

Liberal Tasmania
  • Felix Ellis Minister for Police, Fire and Emergency Management, Minister for Housing, Planning and Consumer Affairs, Minister for Skills and Training, Member for Braddon
  • No, it's not global warming.

    It's an Opposition Leader who doesn't care about regional Tasmanians.

    Since forcing an early election nobody wanted or needed, Mr Winter has rarely been seen outside Hobart.

    Sightings of the Opposition Leader north of Bridgewater are as likely as seeing a thylacine.

    Mr Winter has made nine out of his past 12 announcements in Hobart.

    In contrast, the Premier has non-stop criss-crossed the State, visiting:

    • Scottsdale;
    • St Helens;
    • Swansea;
    • Flinders Island;
    • Westbury;
    • Oatlands;
    • Burnie; and
    • is on King Island today.

    Mr Winter needs to be asked: why does he care more about Hobart than the rest of the State?

    He's been totally focussed on signing a deal with the unions and business to sell public assets and hike up taxes.

    And the only way he can govern is with the Greens.

    Just like last time, Labor will make you pay.
