Registrations are now open for the Crisafulli Government's Goondiwindi Community Cabinet, providing the local community with an opportunity to shape the future of their region.
Premier David Crisafulli and Ministers will meet with residents on 30 August, businesses and organisation, listening to their priorities and discussing the future of Goondiwindi and the Southern Downs.
Community Cabinet also opens the door for the community to learn about the progress the Crisafulli Government is delivering to build Queensland's future, make Queensland safer and deliver better services through a stronger economy.
Premier and Minister for Veterans David Crisafulli said taking cabinet to the regions for Community Cabinet was part of governing for all of Queensland.
"We are a government for all of Queensland and part of delivering the fresh start we promised is taking Cabinet across regional Queensland," Premier Crisafulli said.
"We promised to continue listening and delivering for our regional communities like Goondiwindi and we're doing exactly that."
Member for Southern Downs James Lister said hosting the Community Cabinet would present an excellent opportunity to discuss local priorities.
"I want to thank the Premier for accepting Mayor Lawrence Springborg's invitation to bring Cabinet to our electorate of the Southern Downs," Mr Lister said.
"This is a great opportunity for people to come and meet the Premier and Ministers in their own town and discuss their needs and concerns directly with the Crisafulli Government.
"From our local roads to the challenges of living on a state border, this is a great opportunity to shape the region's future, and I encourage anyone wishing to take part to register."
