On Thursday 2 November 2023, Wollongong City Council recognised the late Councillor Vicky King with a commemorative ceremony and tree planting at Hooka Point in Berkeley.
Working together with Councillor King's family and local community members, 1000 trees were planted in her memory. The commemoration acknowledges Councillor King's lifelong dedication to the community and her 19 years of service as a Wollongong Councillor.
