With the school term returning next week, Transport Canberra would like to remind passengers that bus network and timetable changes will take effect from Monday 20 July 2026.
The improvements include the return of Rapid bus services to West and North Belconnen, restoring continuous services between Fraser and Fyshwick on the Rapid 2 and between Spence and Canberra Airport on the Rapid 3.
Other Rapid services will see improvements including an increase in frequency for the Rapid 4 and 5 to and from Canberra's south, an increase in frequency for the Rapid 6 to and from Woden.
The Rapid 5 and 6 services will continue to run to and from Belconnen.
Some local and school services have also been refined to better reflect actual travel conditions.
Improved services from Monday 20 July 2026 include:
- Rapids: 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6
- Regular services: 19, 26, 56, 63, 66 and 81
- School services: 1019, 1022, 1023, 1031, 1041, 1054, 2030, 2032, 2046, 2048, 2049, 2054, 2090 and 2093
- Schools impacted: Alfred Deakin High School, Campbell Primary School, Campbell High School, Canberra Grammar, Canberra High School, Daramalan College, Emmaus Christian School, Marist College, Melrose High, Merici College, Mount Stromlo High School, St Francis Xavier College, St John the Apostle Primary School, St Thomas More's Primary School.
To ensure they are ready for the new school term, students, parents and carers are encouraged to review updated timetables and download the school information pack relevant to their school.
