Renewed appeal to locate elderly man missing from Greenacre

Police are renewing their appeal for public assistance as they continue to search for an elderly man missing from Sydney's south west.

John Ross, aged 86, was last seen leaving an aged care facility on Chiswick Road, Greenacre, about 1.30pm yesterday (Saturday 19 November 2022).

When he did not return, officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare as he lives with a cognitive impairment and more than 24 hours have passed since his disappearance.

John is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall, of thin build, with white hair and white beard and wearing glasses.

He was last seen wearing grey track pants and a light-coloured cardigan as depicted in the photo.

John is known to frequent the Bankstown, Greenacre or Randwick areas.
