Repeat offender

Altona police are appealing for assistance from the public following two incidents at a bottle shop in Altona earlier this month.

Investigators have been told a man attended the store on Civic Parade about 5.25pm on Wednesday, 5 October.

Once inside the store the man asked to exchange an e-cigarette before arguing with the female attendant.

He then went behind the counter and attempted to push the attendant out of the way and take an e-cigarette.

She managed to fend the male off and he left the store empty handed.

Investigators believe the same man returned to the store on Sunday, 9 October about 5.50pm.

There was an altercation with the same attendant and she was hit with a metal pole.

The man left the store and was last seen on Civic Parade.

Investigators have released CCTV and images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
