Research Heats Up with HITEMMP

HITEMMP stands for High Intensity Thermal Exchange through Materials and Manufacturing Processes, a new initiative through the Department of Energy's Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E).

Heat exchangers transfer heat from one fluid to another for both heating and cooling. They're used in cars, building HVAC systems, chemical plants, nuclear reactors and for many other processes that need a regulated temperature.
