Research on Teaching and Practising Writing

Lets talk

about the teaching and practise of writing in schools.

ACU research with the NSW Education Standards Authority found through a survey of NSW teachers, that there are variations in the explicit emphasis on the teaching of writing through the schooling years K to 12. The research also exposed gaps in the teaching of writing and limited opportunity to practise extended writing in the upper primary and lower secondary years.
