Stage 2 construction works for the Rhyll Playspace behind the Rhyll Angling Club are set to begin on 14 March 2023. This project will complete the play-space upgrade at Rhyll by providing a nature-themed children’s recreation area. The works will include construction of a play tower, installation of a spiral slide and a connection bridge between the two towers, seating, landscaping, boardwalks, and pathways.

Council has appointed Planned Construction Pty Ltd after a competitive open tender process. The total project cost is approximately $300,000 and is jointly funded by the Victorian Government’s Growing Suburb Fund and Council’s Capital works open space renewal program 2022/23.

During the construction works for Stage 2, the existing play area will be closed, and temporary fences will be in place. Appropriate traffic and pedestrian control measures will be implemented onsite during these works.

The community, residents, businesses, and other stakeholders will be kept up to date with the project via Council’s website and can also on the on site QR code project sign, which will outline upcoming works and projected timelines for completion.
