Rideshare passenger caught with drugs and cash

Officers from the Dandenong Frontline Tactical Unit came across more than they bargained for when they pulled over a rideshare vehicle in Clyde North overnight.

The rideshare vehicle was intercepted by police on Berwick Cranbourne Road for a routine check about 1.55am.

A check of the occupants revealed the 21-year-old passenger was in possession of alleged drugs and cash.

Police found and seized a quantity of alleged 1,4 butanediol otherwise known as GHB, methylamphetamine and more than $7000 in cash.

The Cranbourne man has been charged with traffick 1,4 butanediol, traffick methylamphetamine and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.

He has been held over to appear before Dandenong Magistrates' Court today.
