RMIT University has strengthened ties between Vietnam, France and Australia by marking the milestone of RMIT Vietnam's 25th anniversary with alumni, industry, government and university partners in Paris.
Since its establishment in 2000 as Vietnam's first fully foreign university, RMIT Vietnam has grown into a vibrant, multi-campus institution with over 25,000 alumni making an impact around the world.
France is home to the largest group of RMIT Vietnam alumni in Europe, with this cohort recently connecting in Paris to mark the University's anniversary milestone.
Government leaders from Vietnam, France and Australia joined the celebration reception, including His Excellency Mr Dinh Toan Thang, Vietnam's Ambassador to France; Gönül Serbest, Commissioner for Victoria to Europe, Middle East, Türkiye and Africa; and Arnaud Melilli, Head of Asia Pacific at Choose Paris Region.
In his remarks at the event, His Excellency Mr Dinh Toan Thang said that the growing community of RMIT Vietnam alumni in France serves as a bridge of knowledge and culture, strengthening the bonds between Vietnam, France and Australia, and enriching the shared values that connect the three nations.
"This milestone celebration takes place against the backdrop of Vietnam's elevated partnerships with both France and Australia, an exceptional convergence that highlights the depth and breadth of our shared ties," Ambassador Dinh said.
"Education and training remain a cornerstone of our partnership with France, reflecting our joint commitment to innovation, progress and human development."
