Road closures due to wet weather as of 3.30 pm Thursday 4 August 2022

The ACT Government wishes to advise motorists and other road users to exercise caution on roads, particularly rural roads, unsealed roads and stream crossings today with wet weather continuing.

Due to the current rainfall, the following crossings in the ACT are temporarily closed until further notice:

  • Coppins Crossing
  • Uriarra Crossing
  • Point Hut Crossing
  • Oaks Estate Crossing
  • Swamp Creek Crossing
  • Paddys River Crossing.

There are also closures in place along sections of the following roads:

  • Majura Road between Bunnings and Tambreet Street, Majura Park
  • Morisset Road between Flemington Road and Federal Highway, Kenny
  • Mugga Lane between Monaro Highway and Long Gully Road
  • Naas Road from Tharwa to Smiths Road
  • Old Well Station Road, Lyneham
  • MacKay Gardens Street, Turner
  • McCaughey Street, Turner
  • Thurbon Road, Lyneham.

In addition, the following two crossings remain closed.

  • Angle Crossing.
  • Sunshine Crossing.

Please follow signage and use an alternative route, with barriers in place to all traffic.
