Goulburn Mulwaree Council is pleased to announce the completion of major conservation works at the Rocky Hill War Memorial Tower, with the site now officially reopened to the public. These extensive works were undertaken to address structural concerns including concrete remediation and water ingress, ensuring the long-term preservation and integrity of this much-loved and iconic landmark.
The works were carried out by local company ARW Multigroup. This conservation project marks a significant milestone in the lead-up to the Tower's 100th anniversary in late 2025. The works were made possible through $132,250 in funding from the Department of Veterans' Affairs Saluting Their Service Program, with additional investment from Goulburn Mulwaree Council.
Visitors can once again experience the panoramic views from the tower and reflect on its importance as a tribute to those who served. Council extends its thanks to the community for their patience during the closure period and welcomes everyone back to this cherished memorial. The Rocky Hill War Memorial Museum continues to operate as usual, offering further insights into the region's wartime history.
The Rocky Hill War Memorial Tower and Museum are open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and weekends, 10am–4pm. Open daily during the School Holidays.
