Council will be carrying out a parking study in the Coxs Road, Eastwood, Gladesville, and Ryde town centres from Monday 10 August until Monday 17 August.
The study will be conducted by Council's specialist traffic consultant Trans Traffic Services.
The study will assess the utilisation of Council's on-street and off-street parking facilities within these town centres. The information collected will help Council plan for future parking initiatives.
Study data will be collected using cameras to measure parking occupancy only.
Council's consultant has strict protocols in place to protect people's privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and relevant privacy legislation. Camera footage will not be used for any purpose outside the scope of the parking survey. Individual vehicles and people will not be identified in the data captured by Council's consultant, and raw footage is processed solely by automated software. All data is securely stored and destroyed upon project completion unless required otherwise by law.
The survey will not affect parking availability, traffic conditions, or access to local businesses and properties.
