Police and emergency services are currently on scene following a fatal collision in Sarsfield, near Bairnsdale, this morning.
Emergency services were called to the Great Alpine Road, near Nicholls Road, following reports of a collision between a car and a truck about 9.15am.
The yet to be identified male driver and sole occupant of the car has died at the scene.
The driver of the B-double stopped to assist at the scene and has been taken to hospital as a precaution.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
