"Say Hello to Algol's New Companion Candidates"

University of Helsinki

Dr. Lauri Jetsu from the University of Helsinki has analysed observations of Algol. He argues

that Algol has many companion stars which have not been detected from earlier observations.

The results have been published in The Astrophysical Journal.

Lauri Jetsu has studied Algol for a long time and tattooed in his hand a hieroglyph which describes Algol. Ancient Egyptian called Algol as Horus, which was a manifestation from the god and from the king. (Image: Riitta-Leena Inki)
