The Scarborough Park Tennis Court Lights are set to be upgraded following a recommendation from Council's City Works & Assets Committee on Wednesday 6 May.
Council undertook a comprehensive community consultation process regarding the installation of lighting at the Scarborough Park Tennis Courts.
The community was supportive of the proposal although some concerns were raised regarding light spill, extended hours of use and environmental impacts.
Council has carefully addressed these concerns and the new lights, installed at the tenant's expense, will be subject to appropriate controls governing operating hours, light spill mitigation and ongoing compliance with environmental requirements.
