Search and rescue for missing man at Gregory

Mount Isa police are coordinating a search and rescue for a 64-year-old man missing from Gregory.

Kerry Alloway was last seen leaving the Gregory Hotel in a white 1994 Daihatsu Applause (similar to car pictured below) on the afternoon of January 29.

Prior to leaving, Kerry informed a friend he was going on a fishing trip but has not been seen or heard from since.

He is understood to have purchased fuel and a bag of ice before driving in a northerly direction in his vehicle, Queensland registration, 315ZRA.

A helicopter has been scouring the area this afternoon and the search is expected continue tomorrow.

Family and police hold concern for Kerry's welfare as he lives with a medical condition which requires medication.

The 64-year-old is described as Caucasian with a tanned complexion, around 180cm tall, has a slim build, a balding head, a thick grey beard and green eyes.
