A search and rescue operation has commenced to locate a 61-year-old man missing from Thompson Point, east of Rockhampton, since Sunday, 17 August.
Phillip John Ryan (pictured) was last seen launching his 4.1 metre blue and white coloured vessel from Thompson Point Boat Ramp at 9.30am on Sunday 17 August and has not been seen or heard from since.
He is described as Caucasian, approximately 175cm tall, heavy build, and last seen wearing a maroon and white coloured t-shirt and navy blue shorts.
A broad search of the area was conducted yesterday afternoon.
Local police will continue the search and rescue operation this morning, with the assistance of SES, Coast Guard and Water Police.
Police are appealing to anyone who has any information regarding his whereabouts to come forward.
