Police are currently conducting a search in waters between Bells Beach and Point Addis after reports of a surfer that may have been in trouble on Sunday (2 Sept), Victoria Police say.
Surfers on shore reported seeing another surfer that looked to be in difficulty quite a distance from the shore shortly after 1pm.
Local police, the police Air Wing and Torquay lifesavers on jetskiis are conducting a search of the area however have been unable to locate anyone.
Police have not received any reports of any missing persons in the area. Anyone with information is urged to contact Geelong Police Station 5225 3100.
