Search to commence as inquiries continue to locate missing woman in Sydney CBD

Police will commence a coordinated land search in the Sydney CBD today as inquiries continue to locate a missing woman.

Sarah Nguyen – aged 29 – was last seen leaving her home on William Street at Woolloomooloo, about 2.30pm on Monday (6 December 2021).

She was reported missing to officers from Kings Cross Police Area Command, who commenced inquiries to locate her.

Police and family hold serious concern for Sarah's welfare.

Sarah is described as being of Asian appearance, about 160cm tall, of thin build, with long black hair.

She is believed to be wearing a blue dress and black jacket and carrying a black tote handbag.

As inquiries continue to locate Sarah, police will commence a large, coordinated land search in the Sydney CBD from 9.30am today (Thursday 9 December 2021).

Local police will be assisted throughout the search by officers attached to the Mounted Unit, Marine Area Command, Public Order and Riot Squad, and Police Rescue.

The search area includes the Royal Botanic Gardens, Mrs Macquarie's Chair Sydney and surrounds.
