Second man charged over carjacking at Wollongong

A second man has been charged over an alleged carjacking in Wollongong last month.

About 2.30pm on Saturday 18 March 2023, a 24-year-old woman was refuelling her car at a service station on Corrimal Street, Wollongong, when she was allegedly approached by two men.

The vehicle was later recovered in Port Kembla on Tuesday 21 March 2023.

Following further inquiries, a 37-year-old man was arrested on the Princes Highway, Figtree, following an alleged pursuit on a motorcycle through the Wollongong CBD, about 2pm today (Wednesday 12 April 2023).
