More than 5,500 Tasmanian students from 150 schools will take part in the Schools Triathlon Challenge held over four days in Devonport and Hobart.
The event promotes an active and healthy lifestyle, and provides a pathway for students to become engaged in physical activity.
The challenge features individual and team events for primary and secondary students, from both state and independent schools.
As part of the challenge, students are encouraged to raise funds to help young people diagnosed with diabetes better manage their condition.
We have a vision to make Tasmania the healthiest state in the country, and participating in sport and recreation is an important part of reaching that goal.
