A police officer has been charged following an investigation into an alleged incident that occurred last year.
The Southern Region senior constable has been charged with 17 offences including reckless conduct endangering life and breaching court orders.
The charges relate to an alleged assault that occurred while off duty in May 2019.
He has been summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
