Seniors fashion show secured

Local seniors are set to strut down the catwalk, after Council accepted funding to host a Seniors in Style Fashion Show next year.

The free fashion show will come to fruition after Council was successful in receiving $3,500 grant funding through the NSW Government's Seniors Festival Program.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said the show will form part of Council's broader Seniors Festival Program in 2023.

"Seniors are always looking for ways to stay connected and next year's Seniors Festival is already set to be the best yet," Cr Fedeli said.

"The Seniors in Style Fashion Show is about promoting positive attitudes and behaviours to ageing, celebrating respect, inclusion and social participation and celebrating ageing through fashion and modelling opportunities.

"I'd like to thank the NSW Government for their funding of the project and look forward to seeing it come to life in the new year."

The show will be professionally photographed, with the images captured to form part of a future art exhibition in the Camden area.
