Detectives from the Redcliffe Child Protection Investigation Unit (CPIU) have charged a 69-year-old man after it is alleged indecent offences were committed against children and an adult in the Moreton area in 2024 and 2025.
Police will allege the man inappropriately touched two girls and a woman, known to him, in separate incidents between January 2024 to April 2025 in the Redcliffe, Newport and Griffin areas.
CPIU detectives, with assistance from the Brisbane Dog Squad, executed a search warrant at a home and an ice cream truck at a Brendale property yesterday, May 29, where they seized electronic devices for forensic examination and arrested a man.
The 69-year-old Brendale man has been charged with three counts of sexual assault, and one count each of common assault and indecent treatment of a child under 16.
He was refused police bail and is due to appear in Pine Rivers Magistrates Court today, May 30.
Redcliffe CPIU Officer in Charge Detective Senior Sergeant Guy Ford said investigations are ongoing.
"We will allege the man knew two of the three victims in a professional capacity," Detective Senior Sergeant Ford said.
"Due to the nature of the offending, we believe there may be further victims, and we encourage you to contact police if you have information.
"We are always thankful of people who are brave enough to share their story with us so we can investigate and work towards justice for that person."
