Yarra City Council

The young people got the opportunity to train alongside stars from both clubs to hone their technical skills and help develop their understanding of the game.

Simon Rodder from Melbourne Victory FC says the club was proud to partner with Wrexham FC to deliver the clinic.

"We have a commitment to our local area and to provide young people and their families with opportunities to create new sporting pathways, improve connection, and help improve mental health and wellbeing," he says.

"Wrexham FC are a global brand, and it was amazing to see the smiles their presence brought to the young people's faces - bringing the world to Yarra," Mr Rodder says.

Aspiring soccer stars Daniel and Zain took part in the football clinic. The brothers were also given a scholarship to take part in Melbourne Victoria FC's Football Advancement Program and got the chance to watch the two teams battle it out at Marvel Stadium last Friday night.

"It was beyond greatness!" Daniel says of the match at Marvel Stadium.

While Zain loved the soccer clinic.

"It was so fun meeting and playing with Ben Tozer and all the Wrexham FC players and coaches. I had great fun playing soccer with everyone," Zain says.
